Soil-farming map upate of malopolska voivodeship
ProGea Consulting Company made the quality check of geometric and update of agricultural soil in the Malopolska voivodeship. The project required the involvement of a large technical and technology resources, including acquisition of remote sensing images (high resolution satellite images and orthophotos) and because of the short period of product development – automated processes of Object Based Classification (GEOBIA).
To the process of updating soil and agricultural map (from the 60s of the twentieth century), we use object-oriented classification method (GEOBIA) of Malopolska region based on RapidEye satellite images and aerial orthophotos. Remote sensing data were derived from the years 2009-2011. In adition to the above, the update also used a lots of vector layers such as property boundaries of the State Forests National Forest Holding (PGL LP) collected directly from three Regional Directorate of National Forest (RDLP Krakow, Katowice and Krosno) and layer management fields (LPIS ARiMR).
After the process of updating the databases of geometric and descriptive map of soil and agricultural censuses was done (part surface in hectares and percentage), we create statistical report for each soil type and other objects in the map.
